Edgewood’s Eddie Driskell was voted the WCPO Player of the Week for Week 8, registering 4,000 votes (35.4 percent).

The Cougar wideout hauled in seven receptions for 163 yards and a touchdown as the Cougars crushed Talawanda.

Driskell edged out Raequan Prince of Winton Woods and Oak Hills’ Kyle Montag in the voting conducted by TriStateFootball.com. In total, 12 players were nominated with 11,298 votes cast.

We will present awards to each of this season’s winners at the upcoming TSF Year in Review Shows coming in mid-to-late February (more details coming soon).

Next week’s WCPO Player of the Week nominees will be announced on Sunday. Please e-mail nominations weekly to staff@tristatefootball.com or on Twitter @TSFootball.
