CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati Bengals announced they re-signed linebacker Vincent Rey on Saturday.
Rey is a fourth-year NFL player for 2014.
“Vinny is a tough guy and a pleasure to coach, and it’s great to have him back in the fold,” said head coach Marvin Lewis. “He really helped us in winning the division title last year.”
Rey played for the Bengals since he began his professional career as a college free agent in 2010.
The Duke University alumnus contributed 54 tackles; four sacks; two interceptions; four passes defensed for a force fumble; and a fumble recovery in the 2013 season.
Rey played every game in the last three seasons and postseasons. He also started in three games in place of an injured Rey Mauluga.
