CINCINNATI -- FC Cincinnati signed Spanish defender Josue Prieto Currais to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday.
Prieto Currais, 24, has experience with Spain's Youth National Team, professional teams in Poland, Fidland and Spain and the Kerala Blasters FC of the Indian Super League, which he helped lead to a league final in the 2015-16 season. He also played four games in the USL previously, for the Wilmington Hammerheads.

"Josu adds to our group, a quality left-footed player who can play in a variety of positions," head coach Alan Koch said. "He is an attack-minded left back, but can also play further up the field if needed."
Prieto Currais is expected to arrive in Cincinnati next week.
The team didn't disclose the terms of the deal.
