FENTON, Mo. -- A penalty kick in the final minute of stoppage time gave FC Cincinnati a 2-2 tie against St. Louis FC Saturday.

The kick, buried by Danni Konig, allowed the Orange and Blue to remain in sixth place with a 10-9-10 record.

FC Cincinnati had to rally from behind after St. Louis’ Seth Rudolph scored in the 42nd minute, followed by a goal from Christian Volesky in the 59th minute.

The Orange and Blue came back in the second half, using an 80 percent passing accuracy and a 62 percent possession advantage to set up a 10-shot attack.

FCC scored in the 70th minute when Corben Bone volleyed a shot into the back of the net off a corner kick.

St. Louis’ goalkeeper knocked Jimmy McLaughlin down in the box, which set up Konig’s penalty kick.

The game was physical with a combined 35 fouls called.

FC Cincinnati will play at 7 p.m. Friday at Charlotte Independence.
