LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- FC Cincinnati lost 5-0 to Louisville City FC Saturday evening at Louisville Slugger Field.

The loss brought the Orange and Blue a single-game high with keeper Mitch Hildebrandt giving up five goals. Louisville City won the River Cities Cup with the win, and FC Cincinnati falls to 8-8-7.

FCC was on the defense early on; Hildebrandt made four saves in the first ten minutes of the match. LouCity’s Niall McCabe gave Louisville their first goal in the 16th minute off of a ball from Sean Totsch.

Officials issued FC Cincinnati defender Sem de Wit a red card in the 36th minute for tripping Luke Spencer, who was on a breakaway. Playing with a man advantage, Louisville blasted 11 shots in the first half, with nine on goal.

Just before the half, Spencer drove a header past Hildebrandt for the 2-0 lead. Spencer’s header was off of a corner from Oscar Jimenez. Spencer would assist two more goals for Louisville City.

LouCity took 19 more shots in the second half. Mark-Anthony Kaye received a give-and-go off Spencer in the 57th minute. Kaye put the ball in the back of the net for a 3-0 lead.

Richard Ballard (72nd minute) and Sean Reynolds (83rd minute) would finish out the scoring for Louisville City.
