Teddy Bridgewater keys 34-7 Red win over White

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Teddy Bridgewater threw for two touchdowns and Dominique Brown ran for two short scores as the Red team trounced the White squad 34-7 in Louisville's spring scrimmage on Saturday.

A record 33,000 turned out at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, many still celebrating the national title brought home this week by Louisville's men's basketball team. Fans got to pose for pictures with the NCAA championship trophy.

While that was going on, Bridgewater and Brown offered an encouraging glimpse of the Cardinals' football potential.

Bridgewater, last year's Big East offensive player of the year and a possible Heisman Trophy candidate, completed 16 of 20 attempts for 214 yards. Wide receiver DeVante Parker caught four passes for 102 yards, including an 18-yard touchdown.

Brown rushed for 79 yards on nine carries.

Louisville, which upset Florida 33-23 in the Sugar Bowl in January, returns 19 players who started at least three games last season.
