OXFORD, Ohio - Officials from the Miami University football program announced Wednesday that 22 high school players had signed National Letters of Intent on Signing Day to play for the Redhawks.
According to the Sports Information Department at Miami, the list of recruits includes student-athletes from seven different states including Texas, Missouri, Michigan, Florida, Indiana, Illinois and Ohio. Half of the new Miami Redhawks are from the Buckeye state.
"Our focus has always been to recruit the state of Ohio," said second-year coach Don Treadwell. "We're always going to recruit our backyard. Much like last year's class, we had a lot of flexibility this year. It allowed us to bring in talent at every position across the board."
Several athletes who played football at high schools in the Tri-State area are among the most recent Miami signees, including Randy Anderson (Mason/Mason HS), AJ Burdine (Cincinnati/Elder) and Jake Hilvert (Cleves/Elder).
The complete list of Miami recruits is listed below. More information on the individual recruits is available at muredhawks.com.
