Oxford, OH (Sports Network) - Julian Mavunga scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead three players in double figures, as the Miami-Ohio RedHawks downed the Evansville Purple Aces 82-58 in a non-conference game.

Rodney Haddix scored 14 points and Nick Winbush added 11 as Miami (2-4) prevailed in its first home game this season.

James Haarsma scored 12 points and collected eight rebounds for Evansville (2-2), which has lost two straight contest. Denver Holmes and Bryan Bouchie added 11 points each.

The RedHawks shot 51.6 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes and went into the break with a 42-27 advantage.

Miami-Ohio held Evansville to a mere 33.3 percent shooting effort from the floor in the second stanza, en route to the 24-point victory.
