Dayton vs. Richmond Game Recap
Atlantic City, NJ (Sports Network) - Marcus Johnson scored 15 points to lead
the third-seeded Dayton Flyers to a 69-64 win over the sixth-seeded Richmond
Spiders in quarterfinal play of the Atlantic 10 Tournament at Boardwalk Hall.
Luke Fabrizius also added 11 points for the Flyers (26-6), while Chris Johnson
checked in with 10 points and nine rebounds.
The Spiders (18-15) were paced by Kevin Anderson, who scored a game-high 24
points in a losing effort. Ryan Butler also added 13 points for Richmond.
Despite shooting just 36.7 percent from the field in the first half, Dayton
still managed to take a 28-25 lead at the break.
The Flyers connected on 54.5 percent of their shots from the floor in the
second half en route to a five-point win.
The Dayton bench proved to be the difference in this game, outscoring the
Richmond reserves 27-7 on the night.
With the win, the Flyers move on to face Duquesne in Friday's semifinal round.
