Duquesne vs. Dayton Game Recap

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Rob Lewis scored 16 points to lead the Dayton Flyers to a 78-69 victory over the Duquesne Dukes in an Atlantic 10 tussle at the Palumbo Center.

Chris Wright added 15 points and eight rebounds for Dayton (16-2, 2-1 A10), while Marcus Johnson and Luke Fabrizius contributed 11 points apiece. Chris Johnson tallied 10 points in the win, and also grabbed nine rebounds.

Bill Clark netted 19 points and dished out five assists for Duquesne (12-5, 3-1), while Aaron Jackson registered 18 points. Damian Saunders chipped in 13 points to go along with seven boards and five assists.

The Flyers shot 50.0 percent in the first half, but took just a small, 39-38 lead into the break.

Dayton held Duquesne to a mere 37.5 percent shooting effort from the field in the second stanza, and went on to win by a nine-point margin.

The Flyers' bench scored 43 points in the game, while Duquesne's reserves tallied just eight points.
