MASON, Ohio - Who doesn't love the three R's? The Reds, roller coasters and a really good time.
On Monday, visitors to Kings Island will have an opportunity to hang out with some of their favorite ball players during Reds Day, a unique combination of two of the Tri-State's favorite summertime institutions.
Outfielder Billy Hamilton highlights the list of players participating. Other fan favorites heading out to Mason include pitchers Mat Latos and J.J. Hoover, infielders Jack Hannahan and Kristopher Negron, and catcher Tucker Burkhart.
The players will take part in two question-and-answer sessions (noon and 2 p.m.) in the Showplace Theatre on International Street. Seating for each show is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
You may also see the Boys of Summer hanging out around the 364-acre park or screaming while on one of the park's 14 roller coasters. After all, Monday's an off-day for the Reds and they deserve a little fun after Sunday's 7-2 win over the Marlins.
In addition to hanging out with their favorite players, fans can win prizes, see the Reds Rover and snap a photo with four of the team's mascots.
Mr. Red, Mr. Redlegs, Gapper and Rosie Red will be there, but Mr. Satin from the baseball-centric show the "Fifth Mascot " (Thursday's at 2 p.m. on WCPO.com) has a previous obligation. Sorry.
