Kentucky Speedway race week: A look back at the goings in Sparta, Kentucky

"Keselowski takes the checkered flag!"

WCPO sports director John Popovich was in Sparta, Kentucky for all the vrooms, crashes and checkered flags during race week at Kentucky Speedway.

The official action got started Thursday night with a Truck event and followed up with a Nationwide race on Friday.

The gas-guzzling fun continued all weekend, culminating with the annual Quaker State 400 on Saturday. Brad Keselowski dominated the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race to become track's first repeat winner.

But wasn't all about race day.

There were plenty of other things to see, experience and enjoy at the track. Need proof? WCPO photographer Mark Slaughter captured all the on- and off-track happenings at this year's event.
