WEST CHESTER, Ohio - Good news for Ohio job seekers: slowly but surely, unemployment rates are declining, specifically in Butler and Warren counties.

In those counties, unemployment has fallen to its lowest rate since 2008.

In Butler County, the rat fell from 6.6 percent in August to 6.2 percent in September. The Warren County unemployment rate fell to 5.8 percent from 6.8 percent in August.

The city of Hamilton is also at a four-year low with its last unemployment figure at 7 percent.

Ohio as a whole is also benefiting from new jobs being added to the local economy, with 78 of its 88 counties seeing a decline in unemployment in the last year.

In total, about 90,000 jobs have been created statewide since 2011.
