3 finalists chosen for NKU president

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The search for the next President of Northern Kentucky University continued Tuesday.

The third finalist for the position visited the NKU campus and met with students, staff, and faculty.

Geoffrey Means is the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Cleveland State University.

Prior to his career in education, Means was a successful Federal Prosecutor.

Means says he hopes to build on the strong foundation already in place at NKU, and plans to help the modern day student succeed.

"Our students these days are not quite the same that are students might have been 30 years ago when I was in college. Many of the students work, many of the students have other obligations. So the academic experience needs to be more flexible, and more supportive to respond to their different needs and these changing times," said Means.

The other two finalists for the job, Jonathan Gibralter and David Eisler, visited the campus earlier this month.
