RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Police in suburban Richmond have identified a worker who died after falling into a vat of sludge as a Kentucky resident.
Henrico Police identified the victim as 20-year-old John M. Carden of Irvington, Ky.
The death occurred early Saturday at a Henrico County water reclamation plant. Henrico Police Lt. D.C. Engels said the man fell into the semisolid material and had to be pulled out.
The Occupational Safety & Health Administration is leading the investigation.
