BRATENAHL, Ohio -- Police need help finding a man accused of dragging a woman behind his truck then beating her and running her over before leaving the scene in the Village of Bratenahl, Ohio.
After a two-vehicle wreck on the Eddy Road overpass above I-90 around 7 p.m. Sunday, police say both drivers, a man and a woman, got out of their respective vehicles and argued with each other.
The male driver tried to drive away from the scene in his pick-up truck when the woman somehow got tangled. He kept driving, dragging the woman a couple hundred feet.
That's when police say the man got out of his truck at the entrance ramp to I-90 eastbound and began punching the woman.
After he beat her, police say he got back into his truck and drove over the woman’s body, leaving the scene.
Police tell WCPO's sister station, NewsChannel5's Terrence Lee, that they have several witnesses, including the woman's mother who was in the passenger's seat watching the entire event unfold.
The woman was transported to Metro Health Medical Center but her condition and name was not released.
The suspect is described as a man in his 40’s. He’s approximately 6-feet tall, medium build and wore blue jeans and a jacket during the offense.
Police said he drove a silver full size pick-up truck, possible Chevy Silverado. The vehicle should have front end damage.
If you know the whereabouts of the suspect and/or vehicle involved, call Bratenahl Police at 216-681-1234.
