Ohio grand jury to get Guardsman's explosives case

LONDON, Ohio (AP) -- A grand jury will consider charges against an Indiana National Guardsman being held in central Ohio on explosives charges.

Andrew Scott Boguslawski appeared for a preliminary hearing Friday in Madison County Municipal Court, and the case was bound over to the county court.

The 43-year-old Boguslawski was arrested late Jan. 1 after a State Highway Patrol trooper in Ohio stopped him for alleged speeding on Interstate 70 just west of Columbus.

Authorities say they searched the vehicle and found 48 explosives, four guns and a remote detonation device. Boguslawski indicated he was carrying items for training.

His attorney, Mark Babb, says there's no indication he was trying to hurt anyone. Boguslawski is being held on a $1 million bond.

The prosecutor didn't respond to a message Friday.
