Indiana Guardsman faces explosives charge in Ohio

LONDON, Ohio (AP) -- An Indiana National Guardsman held on $1 million bond for an explosives charge is due in court in central Ohio.

Forty-three-year-old Andrew Scott Boguslawski has a preliminary hearing scheduled Friday morning before Madison County Municipal Court Judge Eric Schooley.

Boguslawski was arrested late Jan. 1 after a State Highway Patrol trooper in Ohio stopped him for going 85 mph in a 70-mph zone on Interstate 70 just west of Columbus.

Authorities say they searched the vehicle and found 48 explosives, four guns and a remote detonation device. Boguslawski indicated to police that he was carrying items for training.

The Indiana National Guard says he has been trained in military intelligence and worked at a training center near Butlerville, Ind. He went into the Guard's medical discharge unit in November.
