DAYTON, Ohio -- Khmorra and Kaiden Helton died Sunday night at Dayton Children’s Hospital, where they had been in critical condition since they were shot Thursday morning, WHIO reported.
The children's mother, 30-year-old Claudena Helton, is accused of shooting Khmorra, 8, and Kaiden, 6, at their home on Lori Sue Avenue in Dayton, Ohio. An 11-year-old daughter who was home at the time wasn't injured.

Helton has been jailed since her arrest shortly after the shootings Thursday.
A statement Friday from Montgomery County Children Services says the agency is "truly disturbed" by the shootings.
