CLEVELAND - A missing 11-year-old boy and his non-custodial father were found in Texas after Cleveland police asked for the public’s help finding the child.
Police said Jeremy Lopez left Clark Elementary School with his father, 43-year-old Nehemias Lopez, on Thursday. According to police, Nehemias Lopez did not have permission to take his son.
On Friday, Cleveland police said the father and son were located at the Mexican Consulate in San Antonio, Texas. The boy is in good health and Nehemias Lopez filed for custody in Mexico.
This is now a civil matter and will be handled in the Mexican court system.
