ROOTSTOWN, Ohio - A bus carrying northeast Ohio high school football fans caught fire on Interstate 76 in Portage County Friday evening.
The Ravenna Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said it happened on I-76 east Rootstown and they have troopers at the scene.
The bus belongs to a group of diehard fans, the Village Idiots, who support the Washington High School football program. The school is in Massillon, Ohio.
The Village Idiots said the bus did catch on fire, but everyone on board is OK. They were on their way to watch the tigers play Austintown Fitch High School in Mahoning County.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
