MAYSVILLE, Ky. -- A Mason County Sheriff’s Department deputy is dead after a crash on the AA Highway.
The Kentucky State Police said Darren Hull died Thursday when his motorcycle collided with two other vehicles.
The Ledger Independent said Hull had been a deputy with the department for nearly 8 years and is survived a wife and two sons. His sons are also deputies.
Hull was off-duty at the time.
Investigators said Hull was traveling behind several vehicles and was unable to stop when they slowed down.
Hull’s motorcycle hit a car in front of him before it crossed the centerline and was hit by a vehicle heading the opposite direction. Hull died at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
