LEXINGTON, Ky. – Several horses died early Friday in a barn fire near Keeneland.
WKYT-TV reports the fire broke out at about 1 a.m. on Rice Road, behind the popular racetrack.
According to reports, the barn’s owner said 10 horses were inside the barn when the fire started.
Eight of those horses are dead and two are unaccounted for.
An arson investigator has been called to the scene and it’s not clear how the fire started.
