INDIANAPOLIS - Three people died in an early morning house fire on Indianapolis' northeast side.
The fire broke out just before 5 a.m. at a home in the 6300 block of Allisonville Road.
Fire officials said four people were in the home sleeping when the fire started.
A man who called 911 from inside the house escaped the home, but the other three people had to be taken from the home by firefighters.
The victims' identities have not yet been released, but officials said one woman and two men were killed.
The fire might have started in the living room of the home, Indianapolis Fire Department officials said.
Allisonville Road was closed in both directions near the scene of the fire.
