DAYTON, Ohio - The baby of a pregnant woman killed in a shooting in Dayton has been delivered and is in critical condition.
A spokeswoman for Miami Valley Hospital's Emergency and Trauma Center says the baby boy was born Wednesday night after his mother was brought in.
Dayton police say 27-year-old Daylynn Foster was hit once by a bullet in the area of her midsection but it's unclear if her baby was hit.
Hospital spokeswoman Nancy Thickel says she doesn't know whether the baby is expected to survive.
Police told WKEF-TV that a fight broke out between two groups of people in the DeSoto Bass neighborhood and Da'Lyne was caught in the cross fire and shot in the chest.
Witnesses say the situation began when a man's current and former girlfriends began fighting.
