ATHENS, Ohio - The last of four defendants accused of breaking into the southeastern Ohio home of an 83-year-old woman, and robbing and stabbing her last year has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The Athens Messenger reports that 20-year-old Brandon Baker was sentenced Monday in the January 2012 attack on Ota Vincent in her home in Coolville, near Athens.
Baker was accused of restraining Vincent's hands and feet while another man beat and stabbed her. She survived the attack, but prosecutors said she was traumatized and had to move out of her home of 62 years.
Baker apologized in court and blamed the attack on his involvement with drugs.
The other three young men are serving prison sentences ranging from nearly 10 years to 15 years.
