Stadium deal reached; taxes to be lower

CINCINNATI - The Ohio state auditor's office has launched a review into the deal just reached regarding the stadium fund and Hamilton County,

The auditors office tells nine news it has retrived and is now reviewing documents related to the deal which included the sale of Drake Hospital for $15 million.

"All I can say right now is we have staff on site retrieving documents related to the lease and sale of Drake, " said Carrie Bartunek, who is the spokeswoman for state auditor David Yost.

The money of that sale would be used to offset the deficit of the stadium tax fund.

The Hamilton county auditor puts the value of Drake at $45 million.

Wednesday , commissioners Chris Monzel a republican , and democrat Todd Portune, voted to sell Drake to UC Health, after a deal was worked out without public discussion.

Greg Hartmann opposed the deal.
