Cincinnati ranks among ‘10 Most Unexpected Cities for High Tech Innovation'

CINCINNATI - Cincinnati is not the location many would pick for a site of high tech innovation. But according to Techie.com , the Queen City is making a play for Silicon Valley.

The website ranked the 10 most unexpected cities in the United States for high technology innovation, and Cincinnati was listed at No. 2.

"Silicon Valley has rendered itself obsolete," says Techie.com editor-in-chief Dan Blacharski. "With the emergence of cheap, reliable, and available cloud-based infrastructure and services, the tech industry is moving towards the industrial Midwest."

Two Cincinnati based tech companies and startup accelerators known for innovation are The Brandery and Cintrifuse .
