COVINGTON, Ky. - The Roebling Suspension Bridge reopened to traffic around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday evening, according to Kentucky transportation officials.
The bridge was closed for a portion of the day due to an inspection after a chunk of sandstone fell from the bridge.
It was due to reopen at 3:30 p.m. but a manlift broke down, officials said. The bridge was reopened after the equipment repair was made.
The 146-year-old bridge between Cincinnati and Covington is an area landmark.
