Repeat sex offender accused of raping at least one NKY child

FLORENCE, Ky. - Ernest Lee Manery plead not guilty to charges he allegedly took advantage of at least one child in Northern Kentucky.

Manery is a repeat sex offender who Florence police say raped a 10-year-old child. They're still investigating the case with the belief that Manery may have more underage victims.

Police aren't releasing many details about the alleged crime because of the sensitivity of the case and the young age of the victim.

Florence police charged Manery as a non-complaint sex offender in Kentucky and Ohio. He's facing three counts of first degree rape with a victim under the age of 12, three counts of first degree sodomy with a victim under the age of 12, and three counts of sexual abuse with a victim under the age of 12.

Manery is a registered sexual predator in Ohio after being convicted of rape.

Manery was arraigned Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Boone County Justice Center. His bond is currently set at $100,000. His next hearing date is set for March 20.
