NEWPORT, Ky. -- Developers released new details Wednesday about which new businesses are headed to the Newport Pavilion and when.
Twelve new businesses are scheduled to open this summer and fall on Pavilion Pkwy, which already is host to a Target and Kroger.
Roger Watson, a partner in Anchor Investment Partners, which is managing the project, said the businesses expected to open this summer include: Aspen Dental, AT&T, Chick-fil-A, Famous Footwear, Mattress Firm, Michaels Arts & Crafts, PetSmart and Ulta Beauty.
The businesses expected to open this fall include: Buffalo Wild Wings, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Dick's Sporting Goods and Panera Bread.
Watson also added that another "big" tenant will be opening up shop in the area, but couldn't disclose any more information.
"We have a letter of intent, but we don't have a lease agreement yet," Watson said.
Watson said there is about 20,000 square feet of space left to lease and property is moving fast.
"These spaces leased up quicker than anything in our entire market," he said. "The location has just been exceptional."
The popularity of this development may be due to a "regional draw," Watson added.
"A lot of [Kroger's] customers come from downtown and Mount Adams," he said. "It's a convenient area."
But Watson said this development wasn't without its issues.
Bear Creek Capital was originally in charge of the development before they moved on and Watson said his group had to solve a "busted project."
"This project was in default and just lingered for a number of years," he said. "With those types of projects, you have a lot of issues that have to be dealt with. But all those have been resolved."
Watson wouldn't disclose the cost of the development, but said he looks forward to the public's response after all the new businesses open.
"People will be very pleased with what we end up with," he said.
