FLORENCE, Ky. -- Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear attended a ribbon cutting event on Friday at a new facility in Northern Kentucky said to bring 150 jobs to the area.
Mubea, a German-based company, opened their new $60 million facility, specializing in auto part manufacturing on Friday. This is the only facility of its kind in Northern America.
The company is expected to bring 150 additional jobs to the region.
"We make over (1 million) cars and light trucks in Kentucky and we did that last year," said Gov. Beshear, who attended the grand opening. "We are far outpacing that number this year."
Gov. Beshear said facilities like Mubea connect Northern Kentucky to the global market.
