FLORENCE, Ky. - The Kentucky Police Department is investigating a possible new lead in the mysterious deaths of a Northern Kentucky couple.

William and Peggy Stephenson, both 74 years old, were found dead in their home in the 7400 block of Ridge Edge Court near Florence on May 29, 2011. Investigators are not releasing many details on how the couple died, only saying the case is being treated as a double homicide.

On Monday, Kentucky Police alerted 9 News to a tip the Shelbyville, Kentucky Police Department received days before. Police say the caller provided a name, but there happen to be four people with the same name residing in Kentucky.

"What we're hoping for is the caller would now call us directly," said Tom Scheben of the Boone County Sheriff's Department. "We'll provide him anonymity, but we would like to ask him five or six questions [such as] how did you know this? Did you hear this first hand? Where did you hear it? Do you know what this person's ties to the Stephenson's are?"

Kentucky police are asking anyone with information to call (859) 334-2175 or the after hours tip line at (859) 334-3500.

Friends and family of the Stephenson's will hold a prayer service on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Union Baptist Church at 7 p.m.
