International organization gives CVG top honors in three state region for fourth year in a row

CINCINNATI – For the fourth year in a row, the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) took top airport honors in a three-state region.

SkyTrax, an independent, London-based air transport research released their ranking on Wednesday as part of their World Airport Awards.

“The World Airport Awards are another global recognition of something we see every day at CVG – hard working professionals coming to work to serve our passengers with high quality customer service and a positive traveling experience,” said Wm.T. (Bill) Robinson III. “We at CVG are very pleased to have now received the Skytrax World Airport Award for the fourth year in a row.” “

Robinson recently replaced James Huff as chairman of the Kenton County Airport Board.

SkyTrax based its ranking off of unsolicited customer-survey responses that cover 39 different airport service and product factors, including check-in, arrivals, transfers, and gate departures. The survey period ran from March 2013 to February 2014 and included 410 airports worldwide.

“Receiving this prestigious recognition four years in a row provides us with a proven track record of excellence,” said Candace McGraw, CVG CEO. “This would not be possible without tremendous support from the entire CVG team, including our airline and business partners. We have an extremely dedicated, hard-working and committed work force at CVG which makes this award possible.  Our CVG community always goes above and beyond to take good care our passengers.”

SkyTrax established the World Airport Survey and awards in 1999. CVG was acknowledged March 26 in Barcelona, Spain.

In the past year CVG added two discount airlines to their stable of flights.
