COVINGTON, Ky. - A major road reconstruction plan was approved Wednesday by the Covington City Commission.
Reconstruction on Caroline and Latonia avenues is set to begin as early as this spring.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is paying for most of the $1.1 million project, which includes replacing curbs and water mains in affected areas.
Officials with the KYTC say around 3,500 vehicles travel along the deteriorated roads every day.
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of year.
