BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -- The parents of an Indiana University student who's been missing for two years as of Monday say they still believe someone will come forward with answers about what happened to her.
Robert and Charlene Spierer say it would be devastating to never find their daughter, Lauren, even though they assume she is dead.
Robert Spierer tells The Herald-Times (http://bit.ly/11gYuYw ) that he thinks that at some point someone will have a "crisis of conscience to come forward."
The Greenburgh, N.Y., native was 20 when she vanished June 3, 2011, after a night of partying with friends in downtown Bloomington. Bloomington police officials won't comment on the search other than to say they have received some 3,000 tips, with 166 of those having been received this year.
