A former Indiana governor and federal cabinet member will be laid to rest Friday.
Otis Bowen served as governor of Indiana from 1973 to 1981. He was the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services during Ronald Reagan's presidency.
Bowen played an important role in the federal response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
He will be buried at 11 a.m. in Breman. Bowen was 95 years old.
Bowen was a family doctor in Bremen for 25 years, during which time he estimated he delivered 3,000 babies.
The Breman police chief says thousands of residents are expected to line the streets for Bowen's procession and funeral.
