House fire in Seaman, Ohio killed two people Monday.
A man and woman died in their home in Adams County.
SEAMAN, Ohio -- A father and his daughter died Monday after a fire at their home in Adams County.
The Adams County Sheriff's Office reports the blaze broke out at about 2:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of State Route 247 in Seaman, killing Tim Rowley and his daughter Robin Rowley.
Tim Rowley was 57 years old and suffered from blindness and several health issues, Adams County Coroner Dr. Larry Best said.
His daughter Robin was 21 years old and had a form of autism, Best said.
Best said the daughter was pronounced dead at the scene, while the father died in an emergency room.
The coroner said it appeared they both died of smoke inhalation and seemed to be the only ones living in the home.
"It's heartbreaking. It turns this whole community upside down," said Seaman Mayor David Hughes. The mayor said the small town is tight-knit.
"It's like losing a part of your own family I guess," said Hughes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
