CINCINNATI - Police are searching for the driver of a car that crashed into two buildings after an early-morning chase that reached speeds of 80 mph in Columbia Township.
The driver fled on foot after the car struck a building in the 3000 block of Madison Road and continued onward to strike another building before coming to a stop. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the driver.
The incident began about 2 a.m. Thursday when a Hamilton County Deputy Sheriff tried to stop a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant at the corner of Ridge Road and Madison Road, according to police reports. When the driver refused to stop, the officer pursued the vehicle.
The incident remains under investigation.
