CINCINNATI - At least one person is injured after a shooting in Winton Hills near a school.
The shooting happened at about 8 a.m. Friday in the 5100 block of Winneste Avenue, according to Cincinnati police.
Dispatchers said the victim was found a few blocks away on Topridge Place.
Investigators said shooter was last seen heading south from Winnested Avenue and Topridge Place. The suspected was described as an African-American man in his late 20s, and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt at the time of the attack.
The victim, who is also in his late 20s, suffered a gunshot to his forearm. Police said the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
The area where the shooting took place is close to Winton Hills Academy and two churches. Cincinnati Public Schools representatives said they placed the building on lockdown from 9 a.m. until approximately 9:17 a.m.
Police said they have not determined a motive. No other details have been released.
