Cincinnati Museum Center announces Cleopatra exhibit for February 2011

CINCINNATI - Cleopatra is coming to Cincinnati!
The Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal has announced thearrival of a Cleopatra exhibit for February 2011.
The exhibit is called "Cleopatra: The Search for the Last Queenof Egypt". It features nearly 150 artifacts from Cleopatra's time,and takes visitors inside the present-day search for the elusivequeen.
The world of Cleopatra VII has remained a mystery for nearly2,000 years. No one knows for sure what Cleopatra looked like, howshe died or where she's buried. But archaeologists are comingcloser to solving the mystery and new discoveries will be ondisplay at the museum starting Feb. 18 of next year.
The exhibit is organized by National Geographic and Arts andExhibitions International, with cooperation from the EgyptianSupreme Council of Antiquities, and the European Institute forUnderwater Archaeology.
So far, the Cincinnati Museum Center is the only Midwestern stopon the exhibition's tour of five North American cities. "Cleopatra:The Search for the Last Queen of Egypt" will be in the Queen Cityfrom Feb. 18 to Sept. 5 of 2011.
The exhibition premiered at Philadelphia's Franklin Institute inJune. The future stops have not been announced.
