HAMILTON, Ohio - Operation Pumpkin Festival is pulsing with activities in Hamilton, Ohio this weekend. Live music, food, art and many other kid-friendly activities are ready to be enjoyed by families in the area.
When visitors approach the county courthouse at the corner of High and Second streets, they will notice hundreds of pumpkins that were decorated by fourth graders from the region.
Hamilton resident Nancy Martin took her time strolling past the kids' art work, but noticed they had not made traditional jack-o-lanterns.
"When I was growing up, the right way would [be to] take the knife and carve it," Martin said. "If you were lucky you would have a candle to put in it, but none of this fancy art work like this."
The event began Friday at 10 a.m. and will run until 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7.
