AMBERLEY VILLAGE, Ohio - The Mayerson JCC has family-friendly activities to learn about and celebrate Hanukkah, the Jewish festival of lights.

A free Hanukkah music concert performed by classically trained musicians will take place on Sunday, Dec. 9 beginning at 4 p.m. The event is titled "Giving, Giggles and Gent." It includes music, snacks, crafts, story time and a menorah lighting. Children will also have the opportunity to explore and learn about classical music instruments in the musical "petting zoo."

"It's a really wonderful way to learn about the holiday, to celebrate and be a part of the community," said Rabbi Shena Potter Jaffee, Director of Jewish Life and Learning.

Guests are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys or gift certificates for less fortunate children and teens. The gifts will be distributed via Jewish Family Service to local families in need.

There will also be free, family-friendly crafts and activities at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10 through Thursday, Dec. 13.
