CINCINNATI - Duke Energy customers are encouraged to attend a public hearing on Tuesday to address Duke Energy's proposed rate increase.
The increase would cost the average customer $10.25 more a month for natural gas and $6.25 for electric customers. Duke energy claims the rate increase will not pay for the estimated $15 million it will cost to relocate utility lines for the streetcar project.
Citizens can attend one of the four Public Utility Commission of Ohio hearings listed below or submit comments online or by mail to voice their opinions on Duke's proposed rate increase .
