Free Skin Cancer screenings are being offered on the second Saturday of the month for the rest of the year.
As the weather improves and we spend more time outside there is a warning from the group Melanoma Know More to protect yourself from the dangerous rays of the sun.
The next free screening is April 13 at Mercy Health-Clermont Hospital in Batavia. The event will go from 10 a.m. to noon.
To learn more about those screenings click here or click the video link on this page.
Some basic suggestions for protecting yourself include avoiding sunburns, limiting your exposure to sunshine between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and applying sunscreen every 1-2 hours.
