CINCINNATI -- As part of a continuing effort to serve the region, WCPO 9 On Your Side will televise a Cincinnati mayoral debate on October 15.
The debate will be between the two final mayoral candidates for the 2013 general election and is presented in partnership with the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.
The event, which will take place at the Cincinnati School for Creative and Performing Arts, is a direct extension of the station’s “Democracy 2013” project, a political information project that helps inform voters on election issues, levies and candidates.
The “Democracy” project is a yearly endeavor produced by WCPO 9 On Your Side’s news department. It covers a wide range of topics and is designed to inform the voting public of important issues and candidate viewpoints.
“9 On Your Side is once again proud to partner with the Cincinnati Regional Chamber in hosting the October debate," said Jeff Brogan, vice president and general manager of WCPO 9 On Your Side. “We are committed to making sure voters know the candidates and where they stand on the issues.”
WCPO 9 On Your Side has televised numerous debates over the last two decades and will continue to play an important role in the region's political process with this upcoming debate.
More debate details, including format, moderator and other specific information, will be announced in the coming months.
