Sinnard wins 1st Congressional nomination

CINCINNATI - Democrat Jeff Sinnard won the nomination to run in Ohio's 1st Congressional District and Libertarian Jim Berns won his party's nomination.

Sinnard won by just 82 votes over Malcolm Kantzler .

Sinnard, had run unsuccessfully for Congress before.

Incumbent Steve Chabot was unopposed for the GOP nomination.

In a rare Libertarian primary, perennial Congressional candidate Jim Berns beat perennial Cincinnati City Council candidate Queen Noble, with 89 percent of the vote.
