Police: Shots fired during attempted home invasion in Mt. Washington

CINCINNATI - Shots were fired during an attempted home invasion in Mount Washington Wednesday evening.

Police units responded to a residence located at 6261 Beechmont Avenue at about 9:42 p.m. Wednesday after receiving reports that shots had been fired through a door during an attempted home invasion, according to emergency dispatch.

Police say the boyfriend of one of the occupants chased away the shooter before he could get inside the building.

K9 units and a helicopter were used to search for the suspect who was described by police as an African-American male wearing all dark clothing.

The suspect remains on the loose.

 

No injuries were reported.
