CINCINNATI - Cincinnati police are investigating the suspicious death of a 24-year-old woman in Price Hill as a homicide.

Police found Brittani Robinson's body inside an apartment in the 900 block of Chateau Avenue at the Summit Villa Apartments Monday morning.

Officials said an apartment employee checked on the woman after she reportedly hadn't been showing up for work. The employee found the woman dead inside her apartment and called police to the scene around 10:35 a.m.

Neighbors said Robinson had only lived in the apartment complex for about a week.

"She has two little kids. Two girls. They're beautiful little girls and my heart went out to them. That's the first thing I thought about, then I'm thinking why and who," said neighbor Helen Davis.

Davis, who last spoke to Robinson on Friday, said she heard an unusual noise around 1:30 Saturday morning from her apartment.

"I heard this thump, and I called the girl next door, and asked her if she felt it and she said it felt like an earthquake," said Davis.

"...They had questioned everyone in building, and quite a few of the residents are shaken up by this. This [is] close to home. She comes in the same door I do everyday," added Davis.

Maintenance manager Kevin Mack said he had only interacted with Robinson a few times before her death.

"She was sweet, trying to get her kids back. Just worked hard, she wasn't rowdy, disrespectful. She was real nice," said Mack.

Mack said that his heart goes out to her family.

"My prayers are with them and I hope they find the guy," Mack said.

A dumpster was removed from the site as evidence, but no other details on the investigation were released at this time.

Anyone with information on this homicide is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
