CINCINNATI -- Seventy-two veterans are headed to Washington D.C. Tuesday for this month's Tri-State honor flight.

Veterans will visit the World War II Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the U.S. Air Force Memorial and other Washington D.C. landmarks.

Each veteran can bring a guardian -- a little more than half of the guardians on each honor flight are family members of the veterans, according to a news release from Honor Flight Tri-State. A total of 150 people will be on the Sept. 26 honor flight.

The next honor flight departing from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is Oct. 24. To learn more about the honor flights, visit honorflighttristate.org.
